The very first trailer for the Ted Bundy biopic is here, and the reactions to it are as mixed as they come! Zac Efron, who plays the titular character is very likable in the video, and many think the movie is glorifying and making the real-life serial killer seem cool instead of  ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’ like the title promises.

To be fair, that was the point since Ted Bundy is known for his charm and how he managed to fool his victims as well as the whole country because of it, but still, some people are not sure how to feel about the upcoming movie.

Have they gone too far with his portrayal? If you didn’t know who Bundy was, there is a risk you’d think he was some sort of troublemaker rock star judging by the trailer.

After all, the clip plays very upbeat, cool music as the fun scenes featuring Zac Efron add to the feeling that the film is just another action, romance-type production that will most likely make you root for the villain.

However, while that is fine when fans support Marvel, bad guys, for instance, this time around, the character is an actual, real-life serial killer – one of the most notorious in the country!

Before his execution in 1989, the man confessed to raping and killing 30 women in the ‘70s, something he’d vehemently denied for more than a decade before that.

One commenter wrote on YouTube that ‘This looks way too… fun… for a movie about a serial killer.’

Another also said that ‘Looks like a weird action comedy about a guy who brutally murdered over 30 people. Good job.’

But there were also some people who defended the trailer, arguing that it was very accurate to how Bundy was.
